RSVP, Inc. was a platinum sponsor for the 2019 Collaborations Conference which was held at the Norfolk Sheraton Waterside hotel from September 22nd – 24th. This year’s theme was “Make It Matter.” The conference brought the latest and greatest information from some of the leading professionals, researchers, and advocates from around the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Virginia APSE, an advocacy organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities by advocating for fair pay and inclusive workplaces, flew in the Keynote Speaker, Jayson Morris, all the way from Washington State! In additional to exploring a wide array of topics and information, RSVP, Inc. employees were able to network and collaborate with others in the field of vocational rehabilitation.
RSVP, Inc. President and APSE President, Jason Harper, presented awards during the Awards Dinner Ceremony. One of these awards went to Randy Wade, Manager of Earth Fare in Roanoke, VA. Earth Fare is a grocery supermarket dedicated to sustainably sourced clean and healthy foods. They have been an excellent employment partner in the Roanoke area and have not only hired people with disabilities, but have provided an extremely supportive work environment for all that work there. Thank you, Earth Fare, for all you do!
Thanks to VA-APSE, ACCSES, and VRA for putting on another great conference. We look forward to next year!
