The first few months at a new job can be daunting. For Connor W., a new job meant new opportunities, new relationships, and new recognition!
Connor began working at the Bristol Texas Roadhouse in July 2026. His primary job is to roll silverware. In addition to rolling silverware, Connor has chosen to take on extra responsibilities, such as filling up the ice dispensers throughout the kitchen and ensuring that the floors are kept neat and clean. Connor also happily offers welcome assistance to every server who carries heavy ice buckets to the front of the kitchen. He takes the dinner rush in stride and keeps up with the speed required on busy Friday nights.

Less than two months after Connor was hired, he was voted by his peers to be the Texas Roadhouse ‘Roadie of the Month.” Connor was recognized for his positive attitude and willingness to help others. Connor and his coworkers celebrated the accomplishment with cookie cake and a ‘round of snaps.’ When asked how he felt to receive the reward, Connor said that he “knows that everyone is proud” of him, which made him happy.
Connor has worked alongside RSVP staff members Elizabeth Heflin and Tanya Bell to train in his new position. Together, they created new strategies for success. Connor learned how to approach his coworkers to offer assistance and how to navigate the bustling kitchen. He also learned how to order food on his own and now enjoys having his favorite Roadhouse meal, Chicken Critters, during his break.

In his free time, Connor can be found hanging out with his family, playing with his dog, or driving his golf cart.
Congratulations to Connor for being named the September ‘Roadie of the Month’.
