RSVP, Inc. staff Seirra Goff (Pre-Employment Transition Services Coordinator) and Valeria Reynolds (Area Coordinator) participated with staff from Norton, VA DARS (Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services) in a Career Expo in Downtown Norton on April 26, 2024 for John I. Burton High School.
This Career Expo event was held for high school students attending John I. Burton. The students were shuttled to the Norton Expo Center to experience and learn about different career opportunities that may be available to them upon graduation. RSVP, Inc. alongside DARS set up interactive hands-on booths with information regarding Work Experiences, Work-Based Learning Experiences, SOAR and other services provided by RSVP, Inc. and DARS.
Over the past year, RSVP, Inc.’s services have expanded with programs offered in new territories. In partnership with DARS and area school systems, RSVP, Inc. continues to open new doors to students in rural Southwest Virginia.
